Spider Veins, thread veins, naevi, seborrheic keratosis, pyogenic granuloma, rosacea, acne vulgaris

Spider veins/thread veins/telangectasia are small dilated blood vessels that are visible near the surface of the skin. They are harmless but can be unsightly. They have a thread like appearance and can easily be removed with our Fotona Nd:Yag 1064nm laser. It is extremely successful in treating thread veins easily and quickly. Immediate improvement is often seen.

Strict protocols are followed prior to laser treatments and a full consultation and test patch are always undertaken.

Laser treatments for thread veins etc is a different application to that of verruca/wart treatment and no anaesthetic is needed for thread vein removal. Some patients report a feeling of a rubber band being lightly snapped against their skin and this mild discomfort is well tolerated as we use a Zimmer chiller cooler system to allow a comfortable treatment.

We can provide tailor made plans for skin rejuvenation, acne and rosacea treatments to facial hair removal.  Most patients tolerate laser treatments well especially with our state of the art zimmer chiller system to ensure a comfortable experience.

Large port wine stains are treated in sections.  Some post laser redness is to be expected and patients are advised to avoid any vigorous exercise, sunlight, facials, hot baths or showers, saunas, hot tubs etc.. for at least three days as this will prevent the tiny vessels we have just sealed from opening again. Post laser creams are used and a full care and advice leaflet is given following treatment.  We always recommend a high sun protection factor cream.

Seb K removal is undertaken with liquid nitrogen.  This is a straightforward process that results in the lesion forming a scab and falling off after a couple of weeks.
